The art of subtle SEO provides you with methods for gaining consumers. There are billions of websites around the world, and a lot of these websites have the same concepts as you. They are working towards gaining consumers in order to make money. In the world of SEO you have to be ahead of the competition. You cannot just launch your website and expect it to work for you. You have to work on your website each week, sometimes daily to ensure it survives.

Blogs and videos are two major search engine optimisation tactics right now. Everyone is beginning to realise the power both media have in reaching consumers as well as getting top search results in a search engine. Websites structure their blogs or videos to impart more information regarding what they sell or what service they provide. Throughout the entire programme the designer is trying to get the consumer interest in what is a “Call to Action.”

A “call to action” is where you are encouraging the consumer to become a buyer. In other words we are talking about a method of conversion. You have to get a potential buyer to your site and then make then want to buy your product. This is where the art of subtle SEO comes in.

You do not want to have a PPC ad, video, or blog that is blatant. Such things as:

“Buy our products because they are inexpensive”

“We have the secret to your success if you purchase this DVD now”

These two statements are blatant. You are pushing the consumer to buy your products. There are numerous affiliate sites that have such tactics. Every other sentence is about reading tutorials, or saying the product really works, etc.

In a “call to action” that is more subtle and more appealing to the consumer you use blogs and video with keywords. The keywords get the search engine and consumer’s attention. Then you suggest that by purchasing the product they will find a solution to their problem or needs. For example:

“Diesel misfuelling occurs with one out of every four vehicles. The cost for repairs is not economical; however a fuel prevention device is.”

The process outlines the problem, gives some facts, and provides a solution. This is what a real “call to action” should be. You never blatantly say buy it or you will regret it like other SEO tactics have done in the past.
